4 months ago when I was working as a Marketing Director in a large moving company in NY I was introduced to a design boutique with an optimistic name Flying Machine. 
It had been a long time since I entered a real design studio as opposed to an in-house design department. It brought up memories of when I first started my career and how excited I was about good design. The best thing about Flying Machine’s office was the display of their work. It is an integrated boutique that works in all media. I loved the print work in particular with its emphasis on the choice of paper.
I remembered this studio and finally decided to contact them for a meet-and-greet meeting with the Creative Director. We had a wonderful talk about the industry today and about the work that Flying Machine is involved in and I hope that I opened a door to a new professional relationship. As we said our goodbyes I was given a beautifully packaged portfolio giveaway. The whole experience was really pleasant and uplifting and hopefully there will be more to come.
